add song in movie edit touch 2

I just downloaded movie edit touch 2 for my surface pro (running windows 8) I paid for the full version not the trial.

Before i edit and trim ALL of my clips I would like to add a song to see how it looks so far. I just downloaded the song from itunes but it will not load into the program. I have tried searching online and in this forum to see if anyone else has come accross this issue.

I like the program but do not want to waste time doing this project in movie edit touch if it wont allow me to put a .m4a song in there.

help!

This is not the programs fault.

. . . . I just downloaded the song from itunes . . . .

That is where the problem lies - iTunes has Digital Rights Management (DRM) built in and depending on the licence for the song you may be able to export it from iTunes as a mp3 file.

Hello,
I've got Movie Edit Touch 2 on my laptop Asus Windows 10 and ANY song can't be added on my projets. I just have an error message telling me "the file cannot be loaded". I tried both with MP3 and WAV. We're talking about extracted songs from the original CD...
