Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.
This problem is almost always caused by your firewall and/or antivirus blocking the connection to the Magix registration servers. So, the first thing to try is to completely turn them off and then try the activation again. As soon as you have succeeded, don't forget to turn them back on again.
If you are not sure how to do this or doing this does not allow you to activate the product, please post back with details of exactly which firewall and antivirus you have.
Which version of Windows are you running?

Could the problem also be he is using his mobile phone as a modem? Only 4G capable if there is a 4G reception available and it is a consistent signal.
Is it possible to turn off the security features on an Android based phone?
Will it even allow a download of a non Android based program?
I have no idea.

The mobile is acting as a tethered modem so does not inhibit what is downloaded, however a stable connection is ideal and the download rate may be slow depending on the signal strength.

I would not expect the Poco m3 to be the issue as I assume you are in to this forum via the Poco m3.
The issue is on the computer, did you try disabling the Antivirus/Firewall software completely?
Which version of Video Easy are you trying to activate?

Hi, the firewall off: not help. Version is 2021 (in Options: Video 7). My laptop HP Notebook: everything works fine, no problems. Options: two downloads, but this PC download activation works not. This installingsprogram/Magix do'nt open. Same message: no internet connection and the other sites work normally. Now I tryed one month and nothing will happen, regards Markku, 78 yrs, Helsinki and Otalampi, Finland.

Which model number and what is the Windows version installed on it?
I would suggest you also raise a Support ticket with Magix, see this Support article for how to navigate the Support system to make a support request.

If you have just purchased the software - you will either:
On first start of the program you will be asked to activate it using the email address and serial number - copy and paste the serial number from the email including the prefix P3-

Hi johnebaker! Maybe I'll trye the reload. The netconnection goes via Poco M3 4g and the place is on the country on my cottage at Otalampi. And the signal is there not so good and rate should be 200Mb/s. I should update my Ati radeon graphic card and two other programs. Now i'll do these and will be back soon, regards Markku
