@Djronrella I am speculating that there will be no major update until the Sound Forge team has finished the new VST interface which will replace all the old Magix VST interfaces in their audio softwares.

In the meantime I recommend to use the free Waves Studio Rack VST to load third party VSTs into ACID. It should help a lot with stability. You can also create plugin chains in Studio Rack so you don't need to use the buggy ACID plugin chain.
