ACID Pro Not Calculating Disk Space??!

mellotronworker wrote on 1/20/2019, 5:23 AM

Working on a new project with five MIDI tracks. As ever, you sort one track, freeze it and move onto the next. When it came to the fifth track I got this error:

ACID reports there is no free disk space available - yet the hard drive in use has just short of a terabyte free!

Anyone else seen this or does anyone have any suggestions? Weirdly, I can render the entire project down or even just render the individual track manually, but attempts to freeze it are met with this error. Restarting Acid and the PC don't solve the issue.

@mellotronworker

Hi

Are the source files you are working on being imported direct from the SDXC card - drive F:?

If so then this Acid is reporting correctly, copy the files to your main hard drive before importing into Acid.

Afraid not, John - they are coming from the C: drive.

Hi

Try closing Acid, remove the SDXC card, restart Acid and see if it complains about the missing card and/or works correctly.
