When I try to run Acid Pro 9.0.3.29 (x64), it's unable to go past the splash screen. It takes a long time to scan the vst's and also gives me four runtime errors i've attached and it freezes on 99%. Im also running Windows 10 home 64-bit
Hi, it seems that you have set a vst scan path to a windows system folder.
The VST scanner has to check all .dll files, since these are potential VST2 plugins. But sometimes trying to open a system DLL as VST2 plugin leads to a crash. Therefore avoid adding windows system paths and other non-VST paths.
In order to be able to start ACID successfull again, you can either edit it (remove the wrong path) or simply delete the vst scan configuration .xml file (which requires a new VST scan and maybe adding custom VST paths again then, of course).
It is located at:
c:\Users\YOURACCOUNT\AppData\Local\MAGIX\ACID Pro\9.0\acidpro_bridgeaware_plugincache_x64.xml
(ACID also considers the default VST2 path which might be set in the Windows registry.. but that should not point to c:\windows\....)
