The dark drama of Asura follows the struggles of a child, during a famine in medieval Japan, who is abandoned by his starving and impoverished mother. Eight years later, the boy has become a beast and wanders the countryside surviving in the wild with his axe. In desperation, he kills and eats humans as well......
