I AM ALTERED - is a double album, a first collaboration between GalaeGala and Nickillus.  It tackles the issue of mental health.

We wanted to tell in music, the thin line that divides the being of sound mind and not being.
A musician now bereft of compositional ideas, turns in on himself and slips into alcohol and drug use.  Over time he becomes ill with schizophrenia, but a psychologist, a fan of his work, is determined to lead him back to health.
It takes a long time, but with intensive treatment, he finally does it.
The most rewarding thing for both protagonists is the return of a burning desire in the musician to make music again.

Track 09 deals with the recurrence of symptoms/behaviours, but this time the patient begins to have 'insight' - true recognition of what is actually going on.

My sincere thanks go out to Galaegala for affording me the opportunity to collaborate with such a stalwart of the community here.  He is a delight to work with.  His own gorgeous, ambient sounds and my own less refined offerings provided him plenty of challenges in this collaboration.  I hope you'll agree he has done a wonderful job - as usual.

Hola amigos,ideal e increible a esta ora,aqui ni es de dia ,ni es de noche,el sonido se adapta perfectamente en este entorno que vivo en este instante,los efectos estan muy en su sitio y volumen perfecto,me gusto mucho este trabajo tan magico,un saludo                    A mi mente le gusta esto...... Hi Guys:

As this musical "case study" progresses, it's noted that so does the interaction of the corresponding sounds.  As the cover notes explain, the patient is finally approaching the light of his own awareness, and as this piece nears its conclusion, there is a distinctive change as the tone changes and newer and more hopeful moods emerge.   An excellent conveyance.

Once again gentlemen, thanks for continuing to shed light on this very important subject matter.

We all persive reality in a virtual way and it is the group agreement of what is persived as reality that defines it. With a mental illness the person persives their virtual reality as normal but the outside group agreement is not there to confirm and reafirm the persived reality as "normal".

I assummed that this track was expressing the persived reality from the ill persons standpoint and therefore all was normal to them. The voices on this track I took to be doctors or close friends giving feedback to the ill person that their virtual construct of reality was off que.

Beautifull track - great back story with wonderful insight. - Well done

Merci à Franco pour l'invitation,

Je dirais tout d'abord, que je préfère cette musique à partir de 3 minutes, déjà parce qu'elle est beaucoup plus mélodique, et comme vous le savez je pense, je préfère plutôt les musiques avec de la mélodie que sans.

D'autre part, dans l'intro et jusqu'à ces 3 minutes, il y a toujours ce piano qui est joué de façon bizarre et je trouve qu'on l'a trop entendu déjà dans la plupart des autres morceaux composant ce bel album composé en collaboration.

c'sst un ressenti et non pas une critique bien sûr, mais pour moi, dans cette longue intro, il n'y a aucune surprise, les sons et la composition ressemble trop aux musiques précédentes.

Ensuite, heureusement, ça change, et ça devient mélodique et c'est très bien pour une musique qui est très expérimentale,

A partir de ces 3 minutes, la musique est différente, et à partir de 6 minutes environ, j'aime ces sons qui se baladent dont les sonorités sont nouvelles.

En résumé, j'aime votre musique à vous, Nick et Franco, mais à partir des 3 minutes.

Autrement c'est toujours parfait pour la composition, le mixage, la recherches de sons.

Par contre, mais c'est toujours une affaire de goûts, je n'aime pas la voix à la fin, c'est surtout parce que je ne suis vraiment pas doué pour la langue Anglaise et cette voix est trop puissante et masque la musique, dommage !. 

Bravo ! à vous deux.

Plus que 5 étoiles bien sûr et dans mes favoris.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. es regnet ich bin alleine ich renne durch die nacht es ist kalt alle schauen mich an ich bin betrunken mir ist schwindelig.ich sehe alles verschwommen.ich falle zu boden...ich liege alles dreht sich.ich höre stimmen von weit weg die verschiedene sachen über mich sagen was macht der am boden...hahaha ist der betrunken?

paolo geht in trance rüber ab circa04.19 jetzt bin ich entspannt.wow ganz geiler rhytmus alles cool.alles friedlich,paolo hat angst 06.52...dann hört er eine frauen stimme...hey mein freund komm wier gehn...08.09 paolo steht auf folgt der frau doch plötzlich erwacht er:die frau sagt seny seyivorum?

ja klar sagt paolo..

10.08 paolo wacht wieder auf..er hört eine männer stimme im radio und er erwacht total auf.

I feel the music as sounds don't match, my ears have very much pain. Perhaps other people like it. It's not my kind of music I prefer. Sorry. The Rock songs are very much better.

Si cette musique ne vous plait pas pourquoi faire un commentaire aussi négatif, sauf si vous avez été invité à l'écouter, vous auriez pu vous passer de faire un tel commentaire surtout de ce type.

En musique il ne faut pas avoir des oeillères, et n'aimer qu'un seul style et en plus affirmer que le rock est beaucoup mieux, c'est complètement absurde et inexacte.

Dans tous styles, il y a de la bonne et mauvaise musique, tout dépend de celui qui l'a composé.

il y a du bon rock tout comme du mauvais.

Moi j'aime le rock aussi, sauf le métal qui lui, fait du mal aux oreilles justement, mais sûrement pas la musique de mon très cher ami Nick.

Je pense que mon message est passé, d'ailleurs j'ai écouté vos 3 dernières musiques et vous ai laissé un message.
