This is the story of a civil servant. He receives a modest salary.He is always on time. Never absent, he go to work even when he is sick. He is not tired. He do not go out to eat in the cafeteria, is content to eat a sandwich. He is always nice to customers, even when customers are tired of waiting in line, and attack him. He does overtime. He does not steal, does not deceive, working for 40 years and he does not think of retiring. He is less a month's holiday. He looks like a Japanese, a Chinese. He is not a union member. He is not secure and is not recommended. He works in a passionate way, is loyal to the his administration. But where we find a similar worker? On mars? On Jupiter? He works as an  hardworking ox, does not take cocaine, He does not drink Coke, He does not drink caffeine. He does not smoke nicotine. He goes not to the bar, he does not get a break. He works in a factory? he works at the racetrack? No, because  He is a postal civil servant

SEI UN PUBBLICO IMPIEGATO,
UN TANTINO MAL PAGATO.
HAI SEMPRE DIMOSTRATO,
DI NON ESSER SFATICATO.
PUNTUALMENTE SUL LAVORO,
ANCHE QUANDO SEI MALATO,
NON TI FERMI PER LA PAUSA,
E RINUNCI ANCHE ALLA MENSA.
SEI GENTILE ALLO SPORTELLO
ANCHE QUANDO C'E'  BORDELLO,
CON LA GENTE CHE STA IN PIEDI
E MALEDISCE I TUOI EREDI.
QUANDO SERVE IL FUORI ORARIO
TU FAI LO STRAORDINARIO,
CHE NON VIENE MAI PAGATO,
MA TU FAI VOLONTARIATO.
   TU NON RUBI E NON INGANNI
   NON TI ASSENTI E NON FAI DANNI,
   ANCHE SE SON QUARANT'ANNI
   CHE LAVORI E CHE TI AFFANNI,
   TU NON PENSI ALLA PENSIONE
   LAVORARE E' UNA PASSIONE.
   PER DAR LUSTRO E SEMPRE VANTO
   ALLA TUA AMMINISTRAZIONE.
NON PROTESTI PER I TURNI
VAI IN FERIE MENO DI UN MESE
SEMBRI UN VERO GIAPPONESE
E NON SEI NEPPUR CINESE.
NON SEI ISCRITTO AL SINDACATO
NON HAI SANTI IN PARADISO,
TI RITIENI FORTUNATO
DI ESSER DILIGENTE, NATO.
