How does it work, John? Does one make up the title in Blufftitler then bring it in to MEP as an external AVI or MP4, or is it integrated with our timeline as an effect?

I'm still looking for a plain black-backgrounded subtitle feature.

Hi Al,

Yes, you export to MP4 or AVI with transparency, depending on what you want.

It's a 3D editor with which you can create entire intros/outros, not just titles. You create in 3D space and position or move the camera, or move whatever you created. There is a lot more that you can do than just titles.

You can include photos, videos and audio, green screens and more.

Watch the video Creative Ways to render 3D text, and look at the Examples (videos).

There are many templates that come with the program. Templates can be modified completely.

The Community is vibrant with contributors who provide their project files.

Here is one that I made using BluffTitler for everything except that the handwriting was done using Bixangelo and the eps file imported into BT. The handwriting gets animated. Finished in VPX with music.

And another one using BT, Bixangelo for the handwriting and into VPX to finish.

Hi Alwyn,

In particular, take a look at the BixPacks, 31 Lower Thirds,

35 Video Bumpers,

38 Stingers,

and 41 Titles,

In 41, for example, just remove the blue background, (the Bix icon) and it's transparent.

Everything can be modified, added to or subtracted from. On could make all of these in BT oneself, but that takes time. Better to just get a template pack and modify what you want.

John, just a simple black background, something like the new You Tube subtitles. Magix titling has the coloured border and drop shadow, but not a filled-in square around each letter (that would ideally touch the next letter's square to make a contiguous background. As we've discussed before, one can put a black image behind the title, but that is too fiddly for me.

You make a preset title as follows

Add a font title to the timeline and the black image, adjust the title object for colour size font as required and adjust both for size & position

Group together then right click the title object and select Save as special effect the title will appear in the Title templates, My Own

Note: you will need to create a different version for the number of lines of text as the height of the black band does not auto adjust.

tried creating my own (in the first pic) but my pic doesn't have the depth to look right,

many of the Boris fxs have an edge option when you Transform the image, mirror, stretch etc. & a lot of the depth looks like it was in the orig photo taken.. I'll work it out n have plenty to play 👍

@johnebaker The 3D is mainly the preset in BT, once i read the instructions i'm sure i'll find there's an easier way 🤣🙈 but i'm quite impressed with the way it handles everything, export speed etc 👍

Yep never enough clamps, my shed needs a good clean at the mo but it isn't organised properly for easy cleaning. when i do clean it it immediately gets messed up & it's an earth floor, so i'd prefer sawdust on the floor instead of muddy earth, that's my excuse anyway 😁👍

Just locked up n thought i'd share the rest with you, I work at home & on site, normally in peoples homes, the rails on the trestles undercover behind the van are going to get powder coated & become a balustrade for this staircase i built

this is mock-up i made for the client of the rails

the treads (the bits you stand on 😉) in these pics are temp Pine ones but the final ones are made from Ash & have been fitted & stained since this video below was made,

My shed & van, there's a little chaos because i'm working & things haven't been put away , again that's my excuse, organised chaos & yep i know where most things are, or where they should be anyway when i look for them 😠🤣👍
