Hi Melson, good for you to study music, i find it very difficult, I just use my good ear for music, so well done for making the effort to learn and once you master it, the skies the limit, cheers 😁👍🍻
Yes, thank you. I stopped in school in the fifth grade. I played yesterday. (Beatles) And now I bought a book with 100 hits. However, they are songs in C major.
I am with Stephen all the way. I tried but could only play what I wrote or adlib from band members originals when I played with a 5 pc. band in the 80's. I could never 'read play' like what you just did. I had to develop a muscle -memory to play all our originals. Even my own material Unfortunately, I lost that technique these days. ENTER Magix Music Maker to save the day. I play the MIDI like I type, one finger. So Melson, keep at it. And thanks for that little number.
I know it was not intentional, but your cover shot brought my thoughts to suffering Ukraine. And the nightmare of children being blown apart as they play. Damn Putin and his lackies. The words are' you see the smoke start to arise where they play'. . Pray. Stay Well and Stay Safe. Best regards, CHRIS
I do like most people in this group, I use my ears (hearing), but can still read notes (roughly). The latter I am in the process of rehearsing so I can also write music from sheet music into MMM. So, can use samples all the way down to the node level, I have done that now a few times or three. I could also settle for "midi", but it's too "tame" in my ears, samples are much more vivid and personal. I could follow your music and beats ... Let us know when you get a little more practice and you get a percussion with or something as a pacemaker.
