The iGPU never got above 5% usage, all the donkey work, was on the RTX 2060 for 4K the export which was varying in blocks between 28% and 37% usage for the 3D chart, and the encoding chart was more stable around 10 - 12%. The CPU varied in the 15-20% the higher end being where there were images.

Hi John.

Sorry this is my fault. I meant during playback. The Intel GPU during export almost gets completely locked out or doing anything. If we are doing percentages for disc speeds then slightly lower for me with VPX 14 compared to up to 57% using MEP 2022 on exports. Then my nvidia GPU starts to grab system memory.

I have never seen that happen to that extent before.

Craziest CPU usage? Nearly flat out all cores for some fades but mostly not doing much most of the time.

But what about this above? Why do both programs think my first monitor is powered by a different GPU? VPX 14 in this case has it correct but both will use the same monitor (Intel) when selected in that box. Has anyone noticed when that option is selected there seems to be no adjustment made for the programs monitor view. Very small detail begins to give Moire patterns.

Hi Andy,

Great to hear that you've solved the original issue but how did you discover the problem with that .cfg file? And, from my point of view, equally importantly: where did you find the actual file on your computer???

Greetings Jeff,

It was a matter of intelligent thinking (not a lot), patience searching the registry and luck.

To cut a long story short, I finally decided it must be something to do with the Magix Update Service because there was no downloaded file to be found either before or after an attempt to install.

A quick explorer search - with hidden files showing - took me to Users/Andrew/AppData/Roaming/Magix/UpdateService.

Open that, open the UpdateService.ini in Notepad (or similar text editor) and there it is "working_dir=C"/...."

You can ignore those settings, you are not using them. They are to display the project window view on an additionally connected monitor.

I have not tested this with a third monitor, however with 2 you can see the effect of turning the option on.

As you can see with the option on the right monitor goes full screen with no transport controls.

This mode can be very useful as you are seeing the resulting image as it will be output.

Hi John.

That may be what you get but this is what I get.

With the program on the right nvidia powered monitor I get the program pushed over and I can't get it back fully onto my monitor screen. Also the left monitor is not what I actually see. Screen grab is not doing it for some reason.

The left screen is how it would look at 4K but only an off left view at what I assume would be a full sized view.

With the Program on the left Intel powered monitor I get this.

Similar but the program nestles nicely onto the monitor properly.

If I minimize my program down to the task bar, this is the view of my Desktops until I come out of the program.

This is actually what I see sitting at my Desk.

Note the view is more 3:4 in nature with blank spaces either side.

Sorry about the squeaky chair. I said it was quiet in my room. 😅

How odd, I presume the monitors are both 16:9 and set up identically in Windows ie no Scaling etc.?
