I bought the music maker plus edition and when I get the prompt to download or update it. It gets to about 78% then disappears. So therefore I am not able to get any of the soundpools or the instruments that are available to me. On a Windows 10

You will see I have moved your post from the Video Products area of the forum to the Audio products area.
The most obvious reason for your problem is, I suspect, an internet connection issue. Is yours stable and able to maintain the connection?
Or, is the infamous "Windows Protected Folders" feature preventing the installation of at least some of these extras?
The other possible reason is that if your computer has a considerable lack of storage space, there may not be enough space to download and install all the additional content. Is that a possibility? If you read this pinned post you will see the sort of information about your computer which would be very helpful!

Hi there,
As Jeff said, security softeware features, including Windows Defender's "Controller Folder Access" could definitely be the offender here. If you're not getting on, please try a complete download and installation of the current installer here, in order to be able to bypass the download manager:

Do you mean 2017 and did you purchase direct from Magix, if not then where did you purchase the program from?
if you have used the link given by RalfTaro to download and install you should have Music Maker 2020 which comes as a free version and has very few Soundpools, Instruments and Features.
Entering the serial number for the Plus version, you should have received by email, will unlock the extras which you can then download - you should see a Download tab next to the Store tab.

I ordered it offline. Music maker 2017 music maker plus. I installed it on my windows 10. I was under the impression it would come w more soundpools ect. ect. As it is rn it's like the free version. If that's the case idk why I paid $70 for this....
Maybe your antivirus program or firewall is the problem? Try turning it off. I had a similar problem with EZ Drummer that prevented my download.

After installation did you activate and register the program with a supplied serial number?
Once activated you have to download all the Extra content which includes more soundpools, Instruments and features such as the ability to use more than 8 tracks.
