About me

Originally from Mississippi, I've been living near Buffalo, NY, since '06. I come from a musical family. I played 7 instruments in HS and college, taught myself piano but stopped playing for 15+ years so I forgot most of it. Bought MMM (and my new M Audio 49es) to get back into playing music, which I've indescribably missed.

I literally grew up in foodservice and worked as a unit and multi-unit manager for over 30 years. Went back to school and got my degree and IT. Worked as a programmer and tech. I've been disabled since 2008 due to kidney failure but we live in a small, close-knit community. I volunteer as the photographer and contract as System Administrator for Village Hall and fix computers for most of the residents.

Because of my photography gig, I bought Movie Edit Pro 2017 to turn the thousands of pictures and tons of video into videos to host on the village web site. I figured becoming proficient with MMM would allow me to get all the music in my head recorded and use it as soundtracks for the videos.

I met my wife of 12 years in South Texas. She's a Buffalo native and we moved up here to caregive for both her parents. He dad (Al) was taken by Dementia in 2008 and her mom is a paraplegic after suffering a spinal stroke 6 months after Al's diagnosis with Dementia. My exceptional wife is the Deputy Clerk for the Village of Sloan and in a culinary instructor at the cooking school located in two local grocery stores. She's won countless cooking and baking competitions at the Erie County Fair and has more ribbons than you can count. She has remained loyal to her Polish heritage and also has won awards for Polish cooking. She appeared on the Martha Stewart show in 2007.

Nothing is ever easy for us. We often say "we've been through more in 12 years than most couples go through in 50". I have myriad serious health issues besides kidney failure so many times my wife is also my nurse. I'm an extremely brittle Type 1 Diabetic and she has brought me back from hypoglycemia episodes were my blood sugar went as low as 18 mg/dl.

It's just us, my mother in law, and our two rescue dogs, Molly and Haley. We keep to ourselves mostly and take things one day at a time.

My interests

Obviously I love music but I also enjoy web design, hanging out with my two little "dog-ters" (Haley's my best little buddy). I read as much as I can and I'm working on my first book.
