Error during "Movie Edit"- upgrade installation

Should you get the following error messages while upgrading "Movie Edit", proceed as follows:

  1. Error message: "Account already available".
  2. Error message: "Error 1603 during software installation".

If the problem persists, please perform the following steps:

The error message "Account already available" still persists

If the message "Account already available" is displayed again, uninstall the software using the "Microsoft FixIT Tool".

Download "Microsoft FixIT tool"

  • Start the application and click "Next".
  • Now click on "Uninstalling".
  • Select "Movie Edit" from the displayed list and confirm its deinstallation with a click on "Next".
  • Please run the tool several times until all entries for the software have disappeared.

Please delete any still existing program folders under the following paths:

If you do not see the folders, you must first display the "hidden" folders. Go to "Folder Options" in the Control Panel and activate the option "Show hidden files, folders and drives" under "View" under "Hidden files and folders".

  • Log in to www.magix.com with your e-mail and passwort
  • Click on "My Products", to download and install your software.

"Error 1603 during software installation" still persists
