A vintage 60's style song about all things peaceful and zen.

Lyrics, vocals, and arrangement by Ian Michalski.

Lyrics

Eyes inward now

and I will guide you

lift the veil from your mind

I wish you silent illumination

in every dark day down the line

May your bed never be lonely

for someone with your nights to share

May perfume wafting through the bedroom

leave you sure that love lyes there

May you lay down among black roses

beneath the harvest moon of old

As you reveal unto the goddess

longings which you've never told

May every church bell play its song for you

may ancient hyms embrace the skies

May you believe that you are beautiful

as every tear an angel cries

May the rivers and the oceans float you onward

until the planets do align

May the raven's mournful cry sound as a songbird

Cleanse your soul

and watch it shine

When I was very young, I quite often heard music through my brother and then I remember the tones and mood that are expressed here in your piece and even the way of singing. I simply can not think of the group that played in a way reminiscent of your number, but it will probably show up when I rummage through my music tracks.
You have really made a nice memorable piece of music here and with a nice and good text and again, Ian, your voice and singing style goes straight to the heart, I really like your way of singing. There is a lovely em of time in your piece, euphoric substances that bring out even more, even though I have never touched substances myself, I have always enjoyed listening to the music and the expression it gives.
Thank you both for your work it is really nice and good.

wonderful song great esecution - ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

This is a proper full on trippy hippy sound, ha that bassline is perfect & the wafting perfume of the organ is beautiful to hear ๐Ÿ™‚โœŒ๏ธย unmistakable authentic sound.

Dear Ian and Arianna, WOW! Great lyrics that show what real peace and zen are, my friends! Amazing how the sound here does bring back the late 60s in a bold and hauntingly beautiful way!!! Brings to mind The Doors and Jefferson Airplane (even Iron Butterfly), but ultimately this song is all Funeral Breakfast! Ian your vocals are bold, beautiful, evocative and with all the grace of the best singers in my humble opinion, and Arianna's organ brings out that late 60s period hauntingly! The great musical chemistry between you two is truly breathtaking!! This song to me is a little different from both of you and you know how much I love the diversity in music, my friends! I apologize for being a week late to your song! I don't get notices anymore, so I do stop by your page fairly often, but I'm delighted to hear this new song. There is almost a bit of psychedelia to this song and for some reason, White Rabbit comes to mind as well. But again you both have a very distinct sound that is uniquely yours and I love it!!! The goodwill for the singee in the song is full of grace, Ian and Arianna! "I wish you silent illumination." What a great line, and what a great life one could have living like that, Ian! And "May ancient hymns embrace the skies." Surreal and beautiful, my friends! Brilliance is yours! VME! CBW 10,000 Suns! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ P.S. "Watch It Shine" is very well-focused just like what you created with "The Ballad of Invisible Vets," Ian and Arianna! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, MY FRIENDS!!!
