Concept:

This is about a dream of watching my love's vessel carry her away to distant lands, and the promise to await her return faithfully,no matter how long it takes.The frustration and madness, the desperation and torture of being without the other half of the self.
So imagine if you will, being a light keeper with a weathered eye upon turbulent seas, You do not sleep, You do not eat...you keep flame on the furnace that reflects from mirrors into lenses that issue forth a beam...across the great expanse of the ocean...to light the way...for your..love's return to your needy arms.....that is a "Vigil"

Passionate and powerful as always! Great concept, good vocals, and the music really puts images in my head. Overall, this is a very impressive song! I hope one day I can put this much emotion into my music. 5*

Hi HS, learning english by reviewing your song,...

A very good song with a great rock-athmosphere (again).

Very good beginning, than at 2.54 my favorite place,
at 4.07 it sounds a bit unclean. To my ears, the rhythmguitar there
(between 4.07 and 4.30) is not necessary.
Simple but allthough powerful drums, and a good mix over all.
End, brillant, (the 2 higher "come home"s)....but (maybe) to long.
with good fx`s. 5*

Klingt für mich gut und ehrlich, mit guter Simme (leider zu weit in Hintergrund) und gutem Melodieaufbau...
Die "einsame Nachtwache" kommt für mich sehr gut rüber, inklusive aller persönlicher "Dämonen"...
Von mir für Feeling, Instrumentierung und "Zusammenbau"

(technisch ginge es noch besser und Du weist es auch...)

Hi, a very melancholy ballad with hard guitar riffs. The beginning takes me a little too long, but then the song is really good down to business.

Ich kann Schmerz und Sehnsucht in Ihrem Gesang zu hören, die beeindruckend ist, weil so viele Songs, die emotional sein sollten, wenn sie nur mit gesungenen keine Persönlichkeit gesungen werden. that's your style and your voice has a high recognition value. That's good.
The sound is not distorted and sounds very clean.

dark cool music

A hard cut "at 6:24 with some reverb on the "last".
That would be possibly a more fitting end

I agree with StoneFace about your style and voice. I like the dark ambience you're creating. Awesome song.
There are two things I'd like to suggest:
- What about using a real guitar instead of that somewhat artificial sounding distorted rhythm guitar?
- I think there's a little lack of bass at least in some parts of the song and makes it less powerful as it could be. (Not sure of that, but I'd have a try)
