First of all, sorry I have not made new music in a while. It has been hard for me to get in the right mood. I hope when I'm done with the school year I will start to make some serious progress.

With the free time I have, I often pick up a mandolin and try to play a little bit, though I'm not very good yet. A few days ago I got a guitar capo and decided to try it on the mandolin. I put it on the first fret and realized that made it much easier to play along with this particular song. Can anyone guess what song it is?

I did not practice it very much, I only learned the main melody. The rest is my own addition to the song, and the solo near the end is basically just improvised. So anyway, please excuse the mistakes and the bad video quality. As you can see, I did not worry about making it perfect, I just thought this might be a bit cheerful. These are tough times for many people, but I believe it will get better more quickly than we expect.

Thanks in advance for watching and sharing honest opinions. God bless!

Now the answer. I am playing along with my old song "Sun Rising on Our Perfect Place". Originally, the topic of the song was the change from fall to winter, but I think it also works pretty well as we move from spring to summer.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Well I think you play pretty good! Never heard this tune before. Those capos can be handy at times. Good stuff!

I´m absolutely agree with sandro. Why you usually use midi to record your songs? You have a lot of instruments to record a song with them. And you have a multitrack recording software. The sound is not important. In fact I like that kind of garage sound.

Well it just an idea.

You did a nice work  here, I enjoyed a lot.

A hug.

Hi, Travis

ich mag keine kopflosen Guitarrenspieler

Es ist ein tolles Instrument und der Titel ist auch nicht schlecht. Aber...

ich hätte gern den Spieler gesehen.
