I am enjoying the opportunity to create, produce, and perform an exciting new instrumental song 'Our Kites'. Designing, building, and flying kites has been an activity in my younger years, and even in more recent times.

I will present to you a repeating yet dynamic melody, something like a bolero type melody repeating throughout the entire timeline with me wrapping short melodies around the main melody. Something like keeping the kite in the sky and going through the motions of keeping up with the changing winds.

I started out with the basic melody developed in Music Maker and extensively with sounds from my own studio resources, at times playing at the keyboard along with the repeating melody.

Hopefully to you my listeners this piece is as exiting to you as keeping a kite in the sky and as relaxing when the winds are with me and my friends.

I haven't flown a kite in a long time.
Back when we were kids and on vacation in the Netherlands by the North Sea, we used to do it often.
Sometimes the wind was so strong there that the string would break. And the kite would fly away.😂😂

but it was still funny

A strong sense of the winds right away! Yes, no kite flying in becalmed weather. Interesting rhythms which I take to be running along to get the kite aloft. There's a carefree sense to the music, perhaps representing the kite dipping and swooping, and the person enjoying himself. Very suitable sounds. I don't recognize any from Music Maker. They all fit very well. A good idea for a song. Most of us have flown or tried to fly a kite. I last flew one as a boy and must confess that the other boys and myself engaged in kite fights where you'd try to knock the other kid's kite down. A fine track!
