Love it, Tetley. Super drive and energy, bubbling along beautifully. Yes it makes me think a bit of Herbie too (not the car). And I really want to give the deserved stars, but for some reason the that option isn't appearing for me!?!?! I'll see if it reappears later.
Love Herbie Hancock. (If this is the Herbie you're talking about) I like the rhythm...great concept. A little more instrumentation in certain areas would really drive this song a lot more. However, I really like what you have accomplished with just 3 pieces of instrumentation.
Way to go, man! I too, am a huge Hancock fan (from the first time I listened to his piano style on a Lee Morgan album). This is a fine arrangement (in the true Herbie fashion). He deserves every "ode" ever paid to him.
Have a fun weekend, my friend!

Hi Tetley
I have several records (yep, those really BIG CD's as my music students used to say!) of Herbie's music from my college days. Was that a Hammond B-3? It had that distinctive "key click" that sets it apart from all other organ sounds. Like a percussive POP.
