Season's Greetings To One And All!
"My Favorite Things" is a popular show tune, originally from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, "The Sound of Music".
Trish Marshall and I decided to collaborate on this song for several reasons. First, the chord and melody are relatively simple to do when two diverse piano styles are incorporated. Second, we felt that with my mainly Jazz background and Trish's Classical and Popular music backgrounds, this particular song would be best suited for our first (hopefully one of many) joint sessions. Third, the song is fairly well-known, and because of the Christmas season, is timely.
We decided not to use bass or drums with this arrangement...
Hopefully, those who listen will find our partnership enjoyable.
Trish Marshall: Piano (Melody)
NYC Griff: Piano (Chords), Flute, Oboe, Strings

Lyrics: Oscar Hammerstein II
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses, with blue satin sashes
Snow flakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites, when the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
Like silver white winters that melt into springs
And then I don't feel so bad...
