Hi Music People!

"Jump Start" is a song written by David Benoit (a favorite of mine and Griff''s).

Griff sent me the music awhile ago and I played around with it a little. There's a lot of things going on in this song all at the same time. I recently pulled it out and started working on it more diligently and Griff and I were going to do this song together but.....Griff is no longer here in the Community.  So as my little tribute to a very fine musician, friend and human being, I'm playing "Jump Start" and using Griff's Drum Track to back me up.  I don't think I could be backed up by a better guy.

Thanks, my good buddy for everything you've taught me and for listening to my gripes.

Trish

Hi Trish,

An excellent bouncy little number, great beat and keys.  Cool drumming from Griff.  Sorry to see Griff go.  I learn't a lot from him because of his jazz expertise.

Well done Trish & Griff !!

Regards to you both,

Graham.

Hallo Trish!!!!

Orlando

Great piece Trish.  Congrats to you and Griff on the collab.  This is also one of my favorite David Benoit songs.  You guys pegged it!

You are right on point with the piano...I see you have more of your mobility back!!!    The only critique I would have would be to bring down your piano a little bit where you have another instrument soloing in the piece, then bring it back out where it takes the lead again.  Other than that, this is a wonderful cover of this song.

Well done both of you...Missing Griff as well, but beautiful music must go on!!!  In my faves it goes!!!

"Is Griff really no longer here in the Community"? That makes me unhappy. Keep up with the good work, though. Great.

Greetings...

Hello you two,
thematically and plays technically this is a great number of you. The sound does not quite my taste. I would like to see here is a short and crisp bass drum. This bass drum watered throughout the backround a little.
Overall, the drum line should be rhythmically clearly formative and understandable.
Trish your key game is always impressive to me, but I think that your game too far in the sound is.
This great music needs for me necessarily a clean sound graduation! Imagine, this music would run in a bar discreetly in the background, you would really only hear the bass drum!
Good mastering and good speakers, do not need high volumes!
Sorry that's just my honest opinion

Musically I find this number just great.

Musical Greetings Freddy

Hi Trish,
when I receive your invitation, I always know who will listen a good music.
This song slips light listening, like a butterfly flying in the air, nice, fun, and your piano plays with great skill.
I am very sorry that our friend Griff is not the most 'in magix.
I hope he can return to more 'soon.
A big hello.

Rino

Jazz is a musical style that I approached only one year ago, but thanks to you that I know how to play, I started to like it.
this your performance, I feel very good, I would say the piano is played as a professional (which you are), but the instrumental ensemble is not far behind
I would say great music and great performances compositional

Hoi Trish

a short time ago, I realized that Griff no longer com is logged. This made me sad and I find it very unfortunate.

He is a great jazz musician and I miss his poetic comments. Perhaps this grandmaster of jazz will come back into the community. I would be very happy.

This piece is a very beautiful tribute and honor him. I too wish to associate myself with.

P.S. Hey Trish, you know that, why is griff no longer in the Community's ??

Trish, sweet stuff. I am so impressed, this just hits the spot and makes me feel wonderful.

I am so sorry to hear hear my old mate Griff is no longer in the community. He had such encouraging comments and a truly magic touch on those keys. His inspiration will be with us forever.

Keep those  gems comming Trish I need my keyboard fix.

cheers

Hi Trish,

From the beginning I knew I was in for a treat. You did not disappoint! Great riffing on the keys. This is one movin' tune!

A fitting tribute to Mr. Griff who I hope will fully mend and return back to us soon. He will be sorely missed until then.

5 well deserved stars and into my Fav's.

Best Regards,

Stu

Superb stuff Trish.  A good choice of track to deliver another great performance on the ivories.  Wonderful to hear you combined with Griff on this one, while at the same time totally depressing that he has departed.  Hopefully you two will stay in touch outside the forum for similar collaborations, maybe?  I know he's got other stuff on his plate at the moment.

Meanwhile, back on a positive note, it means we can focus more attention on giving time to your wondrous and inspiring offerings.  You seem to be going from strength to strength as you begin to flex your muscles in new directions.  More power to you.

Come autore Pino continua a scrivere canzoni incontrando nuovi personaggi in particolare: uno a livello internazionale, Carlo Alberto Rossi,
