Insipid Autumn

Just as we are welcoming the winter here in United Arab Emirates, the pale mellow sunshine compelled me to do this track. As a metaphor it relates well to the autumn of life where the drive for achievement & acquisitions start to turn into gold yet the luster does not hold the same joy as that of once done in our youth.

PS.

I have been preoccupied lately with work, family and my fan club at face book http://www.facebook.com/pages/RS-Mahmood/158112724496 as such I had been on and off on the community, I hope this is transitory, please accept my sincere regrets if I haven't been able to be around your work in time but for sure I will be there.

Hi Rana,

you are welcoming the winter in United Arabic Emirates?  I´m a little bit surprised, because here the people doesn´t do this. Here, they are groaning and moaning and crying for the summer taking back. No words.

Your arrangement is fine and the cover very well-done. Golden Liquid, it´s my assoziation.

Best wishes, Amanda

A very beautiful and well mixed modern Jazz song. So melancholic and peaceful as the Autumn falling leaves. Perfect to listen with a good company and a warm fireplace.

Very interesting, melodious, smooth and gives a impession of a year going slowly to it´s end....(and I think not "insipid")...

Great tune Rana...I dig the guitars.
I used to live in Ontario Canada (many years ago) and the changing of the leaves there is breathtaking. Easily my favorite season.
The e-piano sounds great also.
Cheers my friend;

 I like it.
A nice quiet musical piece.
The year is ending, and it reflects on the past.
With a laughing and a crying eye.

Hello my Friend ....

The autumn of life, I'm right into it .... It is true that we can be more attentive at that age ....
As such, what I hear now is a nice mix of sounds, or I felt a touch of your roots ....
It is light, but just close your eyes, and well distilled sounds to realize it .... Excellent ....

Interesting an unusual. Maybe intersting because unusual. This deep guitar-strings-sound produces a certain *wooden* impression, which fits perfectly to that kind of atmosphere you intended. "Easy listening" - not really, I think. I´t´s somethbing very special, I like it.

I don't know before, that you celebrate the beginning of the winter in Arabia.  The mood of your composition is the same as I feel in the "insipid autumn" this year. I did enjoy your music.
Best regards
