Wonderful guitar theme for a sad occasion. I am anxious to watch the video coming soon. My heartfelt condolence for being apart from your dog-friend, hope you will be happy again after a while.
I wondered of which kind of guitar-style your song reminds me, and now I know. Steve Hackett, early Genesis-Songs, he did some pieces in the same way playing in two voices.

An exellent theme of your guitar with a wunderfull and decent touch of melancholie.
Great job again.
Dear Richard, I feel with you because your friend. It's a shame that money can decide between live and dead. Your mood is to hear very good in this beautiful song.
With my new Samplitude I have the same experience: no overdubbing. But it's a pity that this version let miss the Denoiser.
Best wishes
Martin
did i say it reminds me of metallica? well a bit, yes, but now i remember a song that has a melody which yours reminds me of (sorry for my grammar mistakes i hope you understand me^^). its by sting and the sugarbabes "Shape", maybe it has same guitar chords? dunno it just reminds me at the beginning of your melody of the guitar in "shape"... if im totally wrong tell me, im not a good musician when it comes to the theoretical stuff^^
but its more sad then your song, but your song has more power, like strong memories :)
It does resemble that sting song shape of my heart a bit. Both start on the Minor 6th and then proceed to the major 5th. The shape of my heart is in 4/4 time where mine is in 3/4 or 6/8 (which ever you prefer). On the third chord tone I move to the major 4th and do some hammer on and pull offs. At the same place in the other song the chord moves to the major 4 but then moves to the b4. The big difference here is the flat 4 I like to stay in the key signature as much as I can when it comes to chords. My song and the string song have very similar intro's. The chord patern 6, 5, and 4 is very popular in rock and metal music. You see a lot of it in Iron Maiden songs like the trooper.
