Hello to all you music lovers

This collaboration is the first between Muggemaker and myself.  The song is a mixture of Rock and honky tonk.  I think it should get your feet tapping from the first note you hear.  My part is the piano and Muggemaker did the bass and drums  (as well as the cover and title)   This should not come as a surprise.:-D.  It is a fun song, so thank you for listening and we would appreciate your comments.

Thanks

Muggemaker and Trish

Hallo an alle Sie Musikfreunde

dank

Hi Trish & Mugge:

Great example of music/Americana.  Forged in the smoke-filled saloons in America's South during the early 1920's, the infectious, grinding piano, along with the pounding drums and bass, makes for one hell of a sound folks.

I haven't listened to a "Honky Tonk" song in over 20 years, so this tune is a listening journey from the past.

If I have one criticism (and, it is on a technical level).  Mugge's bass and drums are overpowering the piano.  It can barely be heard during many parts of the song.  Of course, this can easily be fixed by turning up the volume on the piano track.  I would be remiss if I failed to mention this.

Beyond that, the skilled talents of both of you is amply displayed here.

Hi Trish and Mugge-maker, I think there went something wrong. The idea is not bad but the implementation is in my view not very successful. For one, the piano is too far back and not really comes through. Second, the bass line does not fit the basic melody. The tones from the bass are just wrong for piano theme. The drums are not very well integrated, many inappropriate breaks (pelvis) disturbing as I find it very. And thirdly, the sound is not very good. I am honest and speak my mind! The quality is then also very important. Us here unfortunately as I do not like. Can the voter behind me do not quite understand the song you can find with5 * stars well. with all due respect, you should also have the courage to honestly evaluate it or just leave it. I hope you two for me now is not bad but it does nothing to publish a good comment only out of politeness. Many greetings Ralf

Last changed by Sandro_Glavina_Channel on 10/31/2014, 8:05 PM, changed a total of 1 times.

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

gemacht habt.

Yes, it´s really kinda groovy. I like it. The bass line works somehow but since it´s

made of premade loops it´s not possible to change some notes to create a better

walking bass with a better flow between some chord changes.

I would have skipped this faked electric guitar and  I really like your piano play.

So five points for you.

ChevalierDeSangreal wrote on 11/1/2014, 3:32 AM

Oliver

I've got biggest respect on collaboration works, and this track is really good, I like it a lot. I find the tempo of the super-played piano with the rhythm section is OK, but -as already mentioned- the bass doesn't play the correct notes to the melody.

But the idea of the track is great. And I say it's super that two fantastic musicians like you two have done a collaborarion work.

Hello Trish, Mugge,
beautiful collaboration, the song sounds very nice and creative and funny, very well-paced, follow the time from the first notes.
Wonderful.

Guitorb wrote on 11/1/2014, 11:46 AM

Very nice! Mugg's tracks are an excellent platform for your honky tonk piano.

Mondschwester wrote on 11/1/2014, 12:08 PM

Hi you two!

Cool! Absolutely! I like the drum-line! Very varied!!! Liked it a lot!

For my taste the piano could be more in the foreground..After all the piano plays the melody...Trish, how you master the piano, amazing!!! I could learn a lot from you!

The whole cooperation is absolutely gorgeous! You chose an interesting music style!

The bass is a little bit too dominant. Could be more in the background!

Nevertheless a great work! Both of you!

All the best and thanks for charing!

Hi Trish,

your playing gives the salt to this song, whereas the rhythmic base is (at least a little) bit dry. But then again, the song has a good swing anyhow, and so it is really a fine collaboration between the two of you. And yes, by all means, this is a FUN song.

Bye,

Thomas
