Hello Community Family,

I've been away for a bit, but now I'm back.  Sometimes life just takes all that you have, and you have to just stop, rest and recuperate before you continue...Well, I'm rested and ready to push forward again.

This is my third song of 2016 called "Flashback."  It's a slightly uptempo Jazz piece I composed a few days back as I did a "flashback" over the last year at all the issues and situations that have been overcome.  I now look forward to a brand new year of challenges, victories, and listening to more wonderful music from my fellow musicians here.  Hope you enjoy this song!

Hi Brenda:

A very sincere "welcome back" to you.

What a wonderful way to make your return with this uplifting and entertaining number.  As always, you're in rare form with your pianistic and arranging skills.  This song has really perked up my day.  I look forward to what you have in store throughout 2016 for this little music community of ours.

As P.T. Barnum once said, "Always leave them wanting more!"

Hi Brenda,

Love the upbeat "happy" vibe I get from this. So smooth and flowing. Great depth to this song. The driving bass and drum lines provide a super foundation, the organ pops and back line are fantastic Then of course your keyboard virtuosity floats over everything like a butterfly. As Griff said, this number definitely "perks" you up.

Great beginning to 2016, looking forward to the rest of the year!

Many stars for you and into my Fav's.

Best Regards,

Stu

Hello Brenda,

Welcome "back"!

And what a lovely welcome from your side it is - a joyful and highly inspiring track that just plays in my head after it finished.

Great. I do look forward to more of your tracks. One of them I already heard (as I collaborate as well and we exchange a lot of questions and tips) and I can therefore be certain when stating: It will be a good year. Musically, for sure. Let's hope for the whole rest as well.

Oh, before I forget..this music can only be treated with my full course, 5 star meal treatment. Love it.

With my best wishes,

Norbert

Hi BC,

This I like.  I love the way the organ sound blends in with your piano playing, it produces a great jazzy sound.  I like the bass lines also, which mixes well with the melody.

Also, welcome back. I have been away for awhile, not feeling too well. frequent visits to the doctor.  Everything ok now.

Look forward to your next composition.

Regards,

Graham.

Hi My friend

I listened first to this song you emailed me and I'm glad you did because I still am having to go through sneaky round- about ways to get to people's songs on here!  It is extremely irritatling, to say the least!

When you come back, there ain't no pussy-footing around I must say.  Another beautifully constructed and played number from you. I lovee it the first time and even more the second!

Do you ever get to the point where you are stagnant and think you have exhausted the resevoirs of music that are inside you?  Well I do!  And that is the place where I am right now so tell me this happens to everyone.  Maybe it's the weather?  Maybe my frame of mind?  I know I'll get out of this funk sooner or later.  I'm sorry.  This is supposed to be about your music and not my lack of it.
Great to have you back.  I missed you

Trish

Woohoo, Brenda.  Great to see/hear you back, and especially when you announce your return with such a bang.   Another immaculately crafted and performed track that leaves you mellow, and just wanting more.  You demonstrate total mastery ('mistressy' didn't sound right at all - but ought to be the word) of your art as usual, balancing the interplay of the various instruments wonderfully.  Love it - naturally.  You always make doing it right sound  so easy - the reverse of which is true of course.

Cheers,
Nick

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

viel bass,musikalisch einzigartig...Brenda style.....!!!!!
