This is me trying to force myself to make fewer instruments do more.  Upright bass, piano, drums and a couple of voice effects in the free Alchemy player (the creators of which have just gone off air - going to miss them).  Kind of jazz-ish, but restricted by my severe lack of any musical ability.  All vst's and the matrix editor of Music Maker Premium 2015 once more.  Thanks for listening, if you do.

Hey.

Hier stimmt einfach alles.

Der smoothe Bass am Anfang,

ein Schlagzeug mit Jazz-Besen gespielt

dann, dass Klavier was sich auf Wanderung macht.

Der Synth im Hintergrund rundet das Ganze noch ab.

Bin echt begeistert.

Fav. John.

I am not really that Jazz fan, but this song is really great. you can feel every instrument and follow the whole way through the song. Especially I like how the bass the drums work and play together. GREAT! John, thx for the link. Unfortunately just 5x available.

Best regards

Matthias

Thank you for your kind words, everybody.  It's very encouraging to hear that sometimes my fumbling efforts may sound OK.  Much appreciated, every single one of you.

Hello Nickillus

I like your song very well. This dirty, slightly crazy jazz theme you very well implemented.

Experimentally as usual from you I find the song very interesting.

This is way cool... awsome track !!!

As I have no idea about music as well... ...I consider any (maybe) disharmonic sounds in this track to be part of a modern and intellectuell jazz track...

...and that's just what this is ---> BRAIN MUSIC

4exjohn wrote on 5/11/2015, 8:39 PM

Still my favourite.

Love it.

John.

Hi Nick:

It's getting to the point that I can recognize your sound quite well.  Always a unique and stylized venture.  Even though some of the chords are reminiscent of 'Jazz-like' phrasings, you go well beyond that signature.  And yes, sometimes "less" is more.  I love your "minimalist" approach in many of your compositions.

A tip of the hat to you, my good musical buddy...
