This tune is an homage to the great Big Band Jazz Orchestras of the '30's, '40's and '50's.  Even though big bands are still around to this day, those early big bands were extremely popular during it's heyday.  (Constructed with MMM 2013 Premium using third-party loops and samples).  Project is in the key of A at 105 BPM.

Enjoy.

Hi ballabarr:

Thanks for your generous comments.

On the subject of the sound collection, a good lady friend of mine, purchased the collection: Big Fish Audio "Big Bad Horns" as a birthday gift last year from the company's website.  In addition, over the years, I have bought a ton of sound collections from them.  (They are getting richer, while I'm getting poorer). <lol>  Their loops are very professional.  Also, you can find some excellent loops designed with MMM (any version) in mind from Catooh's website.  Interesting samples there.

I'm not a follower of ice-hockey, although my lady friend watches it on TV from time-to-time.

In any event, I'm going to journey over and check out your new production numbers.

Enjoy your weekend.

Wowwww Unc...FANTABULOUS!  I luuuuvvvv my smooth jazz, and I'm not generally into the "big band" sound, but I MUST say,  "I'm REALLY liking this one!"  Makes me think of the big bands back in the old days.

Thanks for the trip back down memory lane there.

As a young man I grew up listening to the sounds of the big bands

Benny Goodman and his orchestra and such.

Big Band sound is unique. Supertramp, Electric Light Orchestra, and Earth Wind and Fire

would briefly repeat the scene but in a rock/pop motif in the late 60's and 70's

Long past Time for an updated resurgence.
