I got a note from Ballabar (from Sweden) asking me if I would do a version of "Ballade Pour Adeline" by Richard Clayderman.  I was not familiar with this song.  Maybe the only one in the world who hasn't heard it because there were millions of "hits" on various YouTube arrangements. I listened to it a couple of times and here is my spin on the song.

Thanks, Trish

PS. I reserve the right to have a "re-do" on this because I wanted to surprise Ballabar so I did it in a hurry!

Hi Trish:

I first heard this song many years ago.  It's a very beautiful and melodic piece with lots of little trills...  Your interpretation is quite lovely and stays true to the song's gentle roots.  The added strings also give it a nice flourish.

Another little musical gem from my favorite "piano lady".  Ballabar is one of my favorite people here, and I am sure he will be thrilled when he hears this offering.

Take care.

A beautiful new version of you.

Like it very much.

Maybe you should set your version on YouTube.

Eine wunderschöne Neuauflage,...nur der sound hat nicht den richtigen Raumklang für mich.

Hier geht noch was,....spielerisch sehr schön.

I repeat myself, but I prefer to do it.
you play the piano very well, but what I hear is that you do with your heart.
I think this is one of the most important things for a composer.
still a very nice piece.
excellent compositional work

Hi Trish,

I love the original by Richard Clayderman and I first heard your new Version. So I had to listen to this one too.  I love it too! Thanx for doing this good new interpretations of a great and classic piano piece.

One very little criticism: The recording is not that good in both versions. There is a lot of swish in the background.

Hey !

A very nice song ! I like this first performance more than the second. Because the piano sounds more natural. But at 1:40 the sound´s goes to much in the background.....

But it´s a very sensitive and lovely composition !!!
