Nathalie,

Absolutely! Like I said, I just got the software and this is my first composition with it. I'm looking forward to digging deeper and experimenting, but I was just testing the waters with this tune.

A very nice composition and good selection of instrumentation for a first go at it.

Along the lines of what Renegat13 may be talking about, here are a few things to think about:

The mix seems rather monophonic, which would be odd if you are using soundpool objects, as they usually contain a fair amount of stereo effects.  If you use the mixer to pan the instruments out, you will open up the track immensely.

Think of your soundstage as having five basic sections: center for bass, drums and vocals; left-center/right/center for solo instruments and other vocals; hard-left/hard-right for various percussion and effects.

If you do your drums and percussion in separate tracks, you can then pan them out some creating an even more interesting soundstage.

Try to remix the this track in this way and you will probably like it even better.

Thanx so much Procyon! Your comments and instructions are very helpful!

I forgot to mention....also very important to pan instruments/voices that fall in the same frequency range and or timbre to different sides of the soundstage.  Good luck.

Hi:

I like your use of the guitar in conjunction with the drums in this tune.  Very good first effort with Magix's sounds.
