Title: A Cool Evening In Spain
Artists: NYCGRIFF
Album: A Cool Evening In Spain

Hi Guys:

I posted this song about two years ago.  However, since I left earlier last year after my accident, all of my songs had been removed.  A few people have requested that I repost this song.  So, here it is...again.  I also decided to remaster the song; boosting some instruments in some places, and toning down some in others areas.

So for those of you that have not heard this tune, or perhaps simply do not remember the original posting, I hope you enjoy it.

Peace and prosperity...

Griff

dear friend, welcome back, and with great pleasure listening to your new compositional work.
The percussion part is a wonderful quality, instrumental ensemble varied and entering in the context of music with a simplicity that only someone who knows how to make music can do.
a jazz mix of the highest level, you have to just listen and bow down to the artist

Hi Griff, thank you for this nice piece of jazz music with sax and spanish guitar. The end should be better. I like the melody and the sound. I also like the sleeping cat in the sky *****

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Superbly produced jass composition.

The percussion and drum work is superb. Although I feel the cymbal work is a little loud in parts.

That would be my only critique. It is extremely well done and produced.

Jazz instrumentals are not really my thing for the most part but I appreciate artistic creativity whatever style it is.

Excellent! Very professional sound as always, not to mention your great playing and composing. I really enjoyed the mood, which is somehow both relaxing and invigorating. I never heard your original version but from what I can tell, this remaster is a huge success!  Keep up the good work.

Hola, Griffster

I can't say as I remember this one.  All of your tunes are so great that I have trouble remembering each individual one.  That stinks that we can't get to our old tunes.

I'm really glad that you reposted this little gem.  It's a tad different than most of yours. I like the Spanish vibe and your rhythms are always spot on   (something that I have a bit of a problem with).

Really, really nice, Griff

Hi Erol,

I am pleased to hear from you again.

Your musical structure and the story of this number is, again first grade.

You have it easy on it, this smooth jazz feeling.

That to me is the result of a broad musical spectrum.

I do not always follow a huge joy and a musical enrichment of your music.

Best greetings Freddy

I´ve got a lot to learn, too! But I know that I´ll never be such a wonderful musician like you.

I´m not sure if I listened to this track before - but it´s simply great. More of that stuff buddy!

Hi Griff,

Very cool evening I must say! I'm listening to this and for some reason Miles Davis is floating through my mind, could be the slightly experimental sounds and runs you threw in a la "Bitches Brew" or maybe it's just because it's pain old "cool jazz". Whatever the case may be, I absolutely loved the melodic flow you created.

Super work as always! Fav bound!

Best Regards,

Stu

Hey Griff,

That is a wonderful Jazz track.

The spanish vibe floating all around is simply outstanding.

Hat off to this composition, old or not - Jazz never gets old.

A first for me - a Jazz tune going straight into the Fav folder.

Wow.

All the best, Norbert
