Zawieszanie się programu

Mich_mich8787 wrote on 5/28/2024, 2:39 AM

Cześć,

Mam problem z Movie Studio 2024 Platinium.

Pozdrawiam

Hi.

While it is true you may need more space on the drive you are exporting to especially if the source files are also on that drive, it is equally if not more important to have enough space on the C: drive where the program will be creating and deleting quite large temp files while the program processes the render. I think I am right in saying on a small C: drive (500GBs or less) you should have at least 20% of the drive as free space while at 1TB 10% should suffice but the more space the smother the programs seem to run. Also never use an SD card or similar, or the cloud to use as space for the source files to be read from as the program cannot get to read the necessary files as they are needed fast enough.

Hi

In addition to @CubeAce's comment, does the laptop have a second drive installed, or are you using an external USB hard/SSD drive that is USB 3 rated and connected to a USB 3 port?

Hi,

Musiałbym zrobić w takim razie format dysków i nową partycję systemową a szkoda mi narazie bo tyle programów i wszystko od nowa instalowac.

pozdrawiam

Hi

. . . . SSD drive connected via USB 3.0 and it just hangs. . . .

This should be OK if you are working with FullHD 1920 x 1080 resolution video endoded with h.264/AVC or h.265/ HEVC source videos.

Hhowever if you are working with 2.7K or 4K video then depending on your system specification the program may intermittently 'freeze' while importing the video, and when trying to playback the timeline.

. . . . I see that the card is not the weakest for this program. . . .

The GPU may not be however are the drivers up to date?

We need the specification of your computer system including Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) you are working with if this is a laptop.

What video format, codec and resolution are you importing from the SSD drive - to help with this download and install MediaInfo, a small program (21MB) so disk space should not be an issue, and analyse one of the clips causing the issue and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.

Hi.

Quite the opposite.

The video files are better off on a separate drive if it is fast enough but it is important both drives have enough free space on them to move around temp swap files while the program is running. Those files can get may times larger than the total of the files being used so the amount of space needs to be large. Especially on the C: drive.
