@Eileen-Cooper

If your full site address is www.beaterslodge.co.uk I think there may be a server problem. Entering that in Chrome produces an error message that "www.beaterslodge.co.uk refused to connect". Although I am most definitely NOT an expert on such things, that error message strongly suggests to me that it is your hosting server that is blocking the connection.

I also think that the "short version" of any web address is dependent on search engines, like Google, actually indexing your site, which may take some days or longer before that indexing actually occurs.

EDIT: attempting to open that site using the IETab extension in Chrome I can open it without problem! So, I'm really not at all sure why Chrome itself cannot access it. (Using the short-form "beaterslodge" does NOT work under the IETab extension.)

@Eileen-Cooper

Hi

Omitting the www. part of the URL gives a connection refused in the Opera web browser - the full URL must be typed in.

Firefox, Chrome and Edge all open the site without the www, however you do get security warnings that the site is not secure ie it is using the http:// protocol and not the secure https:// protocol. Your browser security settings may be blocking the http:// protocol

For securing your site you would need to check with the hosting company what you need and how to setup https protocol.
