xara designer pro x11 fill color is shade and not spot color i choose

in xara designer pro x11 fill color is shade and not the spot color i choose using the dropper. What must I do to get the actual color and not a shade or transparency of what I choose?

Can you give us more details of which template are you using and how you are doing this - a screen capture video of what you are doing or an annotated screen shot would help.

How do I know what the template is?? I started so long ago I can't remember what template. Here is a screen shot of the orange rectangle that I am trying to make normal orange but it only shades/tints/transparency? Thanks for your help

Looking at the image it would appear that the shape object (border?), behind the image, has a transparency setting applied to it - this would cause the issue you are seeing.

Using the Selector tool, select the shape object, then click the Transparency tool (wineglass icon) in the tool tray - arrowed in image below, and adjust the transparency slider in the Info bar - circled in image below
