work flow

Since updating to mm30 it has diminished my work flow to trying to get through buggy loading and crashes when using vst's , I have put effort into making it work but it seems to be in vein. have even tried samplitude but that is more buggy & unusable using vst's and plugin's, did see something about multicore support but again it is something to be purchased AGAIN and I am not going to put anymore money into something that may not fix the issue . I will monitor the forums every now and then to see if anything has been fixed but today was the last time I attempt to use . Back to audacity and real instruments it until is has been

@simon-foster Samplitude is very stable. What bugs are you getting? What are your computer specifications? Do you use an external USB audio interface or just the cheap Realtek audio chipset of your computer?

maudio 2x2m usb which was never a problem before the update, dont use the loop packs anymore as I create my own (virtual instrument or wav recorded outside of program) and this is where it gets slow and you can see the program getting all slow. Pc is a powerhouse i5k and always over 8 gb ram spare & windows8.1, Just feels like it cant cope with what is asked of it

@simon-foster And all your Windows power saving mechanisms are disabled? And power saving in the your computers BIOS is also disabled?

Yes pc is all good as other software (NI) when used is far more hardware intense and nothing has changed other than the update, I have switched back to my old work flow method as I cant have software being like this.

@simon-foster I have a ancient ten year old i7 3770k with 32 GB of RAM and Windows 10. All drivers are up to date thanks to a tool called Snappy Driver Installer.

I have performance set to maximum in the Windows settings, also disabled USB energy saving. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 with its own ASIO driver.

I don't have any problems running Music Maker or Samplitude.

PC is similar spec to yours but have noticed it is when I start to use my own settings on the instruments and not the presets it gets all slow, same with own wav files if I chop them up in the sampler ,using the factory presets it is fine.

Just done a load test on my rig and it seems I was right , using any thing I have created and import into MM as a WAV file to use, it does not like & it thinks about it then crash. have every virtual instrument on with presets and blaring inbuilt demo melody notes ( did sound a bit like throbbing gristle ) it does not crash , Going through the project files created over 5 years I used to be able to use my own WAV,s . With this latest update it has changed something ,luckily I still have the original MM premium installation file and will try to get rid of 2022 and go back as it did what I wanted it to do back then.
