Hi

. . . . Ive tried my usb microphone and my computer microphone. . . . .

Check the following:

USB microphone is recognised by Windows:

With the microphone plugged in - right click the speaker icon bottom right of the screen and select Recording Devices

The microphone should there - click it and then click Set Default. You can also see if the microphone is working - the volume meter on the right should show green bars rising and falling as you speak.

Music Maker can see the microphone:

Click the Gear button to the right of the Record button.

Audio line in should be set to USB microphone

Arm the track where the recording is to go for Audio rec as shown below

Try a test recording.

If you switch to asio mode you can not select different audio devices for input and output. Since you actually need asio for software monitoring it´s impossible to use an usb mic for input and use computer´s sound device for output the same time.

Hi

@alexander-kundel

If you do have the ASIO driver option selected for Audio playback in the programs settings, your audio card may not support this, you will need to change this to either Wave driver or Direct Sound as shown at 1 below
