Windows 7 compatibility with Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12 De luxe

Is it possible to run Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12 De luxe, with Windows 7, or do I have to buy a newwe version tx. Magix Audio Claning Lab 15. It will be very great if it is possible to download an update, so they could works together. When I try to install Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12, the CD-ROM starts to run, but after a little while a message pop up who says: Try an older version of Windows. I use Windows Vista and there is no conflics between Vista and Magix Audio Cleaning lab 12.

Hi,

The program version you're using is not officially designed for Windows 7, but chances are you'll get this to work if you try running the program in compatibility mode with an older Windows version. Right click on the program and set the compatibility settings to Vista or even Win XP. Then try running it again.

Also, make sure to install the newest burn routines from the Magix support website to enable burning under Windows 7.

I came here hoping for a discounted upgrade. Being a Sony software user, I am used to having the option to upgrade at a reduced price, since shelling out another $60 is a bummer. Always best to have the latest version available but looks like I won't for a while.

To get Audio Cleaning 12 to work on Windows 7 you need to do the following.

Open MYCOMPUTER and right click on the installation CD.

Select OPEN to open the CD's folder.

Right click on the SETUP.exe file

Select TROUBLESHOOT COMPATABILITY

Windows 7 will scen the software and then set itself into Windows XP emulation mode.

Follow the steps by answering the questions as required.

A bunch of compatability warning windows will pop open during installation, including one that says the software is "blocked" from installing which is a manufacture end of product line message. Click the X (close) box on all the warnings... and continue the installation.

Assuming you have already used this version on a previous version of Windows, I recommend keeping thing simple and only using the Audio Cleaning 12 software. There is a photo manager and music manager that also install. I recommend turning off all the file association settings when you get to that point in the installation and not using them. Personally, I am using an uninstaller software to remove those two particular "extra" softwares that installed.

As mentioned in a previous post by someone else, you may want to update the files from the website for burning CD's. I personally do use the software to burn CD's but its a good idea anyway.
