@Ron-Adkin

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Which version of Audio Cleaning Lab (ACL) are you trying using?

Did the install complete with no error messages?

Which Antivirus program are you using?

I did see an error message, so deleted the program. I use Norton.

@Ron-Adkin

Hi

. . . . I use Norton . . . .

Assuming the install did not complete (?) - that could be the cause of the issue - try disabling the it before starting the install.

I'll try it again and copy the error message. It seemed to load OK, but the pop-up error message had me worried, so I deleted it. I'll get back in touch when I get a chance to re-install.

@Ron-Adkin

You mention having version 3.

Can we be clear, is this the now very old Audio Cleaning Lab 3 or actually Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3, which is actually the latest version?

If it is the former, I doubt very much if it will run under Win 10; if the latter, then yes, it most certainly does run under Win 10, without any patch. I have it on my computer.

It is the old Audio Cleaning Lab 3. I hope somebody can help me with it on Windows 10. I hate having to buy new software just because I had to replace my computer...

Feels like getting kicked when you're down....

@Ron-Adkin The old 3.0 version is from 2002(!). It would guess you are very lucky it still runs in a way. When in doubt just make a right click on the program icon and go to properties and set the compatibility mode to something like Windows XP. Maybe this will help.

I'd like to thank everyone for their helpful information... Unfortunately, I don't use this enough to justify purchasing it again.... I'll try the compatibility mode.... Hopefully, that will allow me to carry on....
