Will Magix 17 plus hd pro import H/264 avi files

I'm thinking about buying a 3d camcorder that produces full HD 1080p H.264 avi files but don't know whether Magix 17 pro HD plus ( and my just purchased Magix 18MX will import the files. I don't want to buy the camcorder if Magix editor can't edit the files.

I think that Creative Vado HD also produces H.264 avi files ( although these are only 720p )
