i recently bought a new pc,did a clean install of windows xp home sp3,and then installed the same sound system i had for my previous pc,trust 5.1 surround sound.I then installed audio cleaning lab delux 3.0,everything is fine with it all except for the record function, i clearly have sound going into the softwear but the record button remains greyed out,i realise that this is old softwear, but as it has worked on every pc so far i fail to see why it wont work on my new one,any help would be gratefully recieved,i am used to this program and being a pensioner can hardly afford a new piece of softwear.I have been on the magix website and as it is old softwear they offer no help atall

I am having the same trouble with my Cleanup Lab 2004. It has worked fine for years on my Dell GX520, but recently I hada need to uninstall it from the C drive and re-install it on the PCs second internal drive. My C drive was too full. Now my record button is greyed out even though when I select record, the record window opens and the button is greyed out. I can raise and lower the volume level so the audio stream is getting to the software.

Perhaps someone could shed some light on this for marriott51 and for me. I did not wish to hijack this "thread" but it seemed like we both might stand a better chance of getting an answer if I posted a similar issue.

Thanks.

I have had this issue with different versions of Audio cleaning Lab, and different PC's. Usually after I uninstall, then reboot PC, then install it again should fix it. Has worked every time for me.
