Why is my program unstable?

I've tried to Export this little 4 minute movie probobly 5 times now, and every time it gets close to finishing, a pop up comes up saying that I should close the program because it is unstable. what do I need to do? I really wanna export this movie, but it will not let me.

Meanwhile, whatever product you're using, I think my first step facing those symptoms would be to first ensure my PC and Windows OS weren't suspect in any obvious way, then re-install the app.
