Why is my magix music maker 2016 so slow, has it something to with the sound card settings , compared to 2015 version. Does anyone know anything about this ???

You are not alone. Mine is also extremely slow compared to 2015. If you do the update it's even worse. I find that once I drag a c,ip to the timeline it can take 5 seconds to appear. Dragging and copy/paste is nigh on impossible.

Simply put, it just does not work properly. I have raised a ticket with Magix, perhaps you should also contact tech support and do the same. They have asked for a complete run down of my system, but not sure that will give any clue. it's just slow staright from the box.

I am Win7, quadcore, 4 Gb memory.

Cheers,

Rob.

@djroar,

That is a sweeping statement. Anything specific?

I have MMM 2016 Live, patch 22.0.3.63 and I find many operations slow.

Startup to Welcome screen: 27s same as for 2015 Premium

Plus sign to left of track, first selection in a session: 12s to get the list of instruments vs about 3s in 2015 Premium, afterwards is fast

Selecting instruments from the list:

Vita Acoustic piano - 38s vs 12s

New track, Vita Acoutic guitar chords - 38s

New track, Celtic harp Cathedral - 12s

New track, Revolta 2 Carnival - 35s vs 12s

New track, Revolta 2 Digibong - 36s

New track, DN e1 Arpeggio - 27s

All of these take less than half of the time in 2015 Premium, closer to 10s for Vita for example.

I have an intermittent problem, exiting MMM does not always end the process.

Dragging clips around on the screen from track to track often causes the image to disappear for a couple of seconds.

I also suggest that you raise a ticket with Magix, but provide all relevant info, not just generalities. I will also raise a ticket. This slowness is not acceptable.

@Rob

I don't have the same problems that you describe. May be particular to MMM 2016 Premium, although Live should be the same build.

OS Win 7 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, OS and programs on SSD drive C, so they should load quickly.

Hi

I have the same problem but only after install the soundpool. Anyone try to changing settings in win 10? I try to install new win10 64 bit in a clear and formatted Notebook but anything to do...I think there is something regarding the compatibility. The Notebook hardware is I7 quad core, 16GB RAM nVidia GeForce Graphics near a Intel HD Graphics integrated in the motherboar and integrated realtek HD Audio Soundboard... please helppp :)
