I wish you should have also mentioned Version of Music Maker and windows if you use Xp, Vista or 7.

Regarding freezing during playback I can think of following:

1. Music Maker often get freeze. There is no WHY sorry I have suffered in past.

2. Is there enough space left on Hard Drive

3. Is computer Processor faster(Better if it is 2 Ghz atleast)

4.Do not run other software, email, messenger etc during playback.

To make computer run properly following should be enough:

Memory

Hard Drive space

Processor

Up date all drivers

Up date windows(if you use windows)
