i'm using build 39. a trial version. i think the build numbers are higher now. i upgraded from SFAS-9 and while there are some nice features, the flakiness is a deal killer
Does Sound Forge crash with all file types (PCM and lossy types). SFAS-16 is usually stable, aside from a few issues here and there, which usually involves playing or encoding MP3 files.. which was addressed in the latest build.
You might also try resetting SF. In the 'File' menu. select "Reset and clear cached data". Close and restart Sound Forge.
btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Andrew-Bindursky.
@Dschulman Try loading Waves Studio Rack as a VST plugin and load your crashing plugin inside Waves Studio Rack instead of Sound Forge. Does this help?
Now all of the sudden my soundforge16 crashes and closes randomly while editing. I have to open it's "temp files" to keep working but sometimes work is lost. VERY ANNOYING! What could it be? I uninstalled and RE installed and the only thing I can figure is that I now have a new antivirus package on the computer but why would that crash a program that USED TO WORK!?!?!?! Then it will crashing saying it could not save and yet it did! It's all very bothersome. Is there an update or bug fix that it isn't seeing? I don't need to upgrade to 17... or at least I don't think I do. I just do voiceover recording. HELP!!!!! Using Windows 11.
