Why does it not think the CD-ROM is in, when it is?

Ultra025 wrote on 9/11/2010, 9:24 PM

Whenever I open Music Maker 15, it always says "Please insert the MAGIX Music Maker installation CD-ROM and restart the program." Every time, the installation CD-ROM WAS in, but apparently it wasn't being read. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, simply reinstalling, cleaning the disk, everything. PLEASE HELP!

EDIT: In case anyone needs to know to help, I use Windows XP Professional.

Hi,

There could be two reasons of this problem, if you do face same problem when you insert other CD or DVD then it is CD/DVD Rom driver problem need update.

Or if it only happens when you use Magix Music Maker then let first decide:

Since when you are facing this problem, did you use Magix without trouble earlier?

Do you got Magix Music Maker Box version or Download with Backup CD?

If you got Magix CD or DVD only in that case Burn it on other CD or DVD to have an extra copy.

Next go to update your windows.

Next un install Magix from computer.

Clear Browser cookies and history.

Turn off computer

Re start computer better after few seconds.

Now use your copied CD or DVD or Magix if auto install does not work open it from My computer right click and click Open then run install file from their.

During installation do not run, mail, messenger, virus or security software. Do not open any other window.

When installation get complete turn off computer and re start before that remove your CD or DVD.

I am sure this time your Magix should work fine.

If need any help send message.

Thank you
