Why do my exported videos play the footage back too fast?

Hello, please could somebody help me?

I'm using movie edit pro 15 plus.

When I import MP4 files from my camcorder, I am able to edit them using magix with no problems. When I export the project as an Mpeg, the footage is sped up and is no longer in sync with the audio. How do I stop this happening, as it is rather infuriating! It takes a good few hours for a 3 minute video to export, and to find that it was all in vain is a pain!
Many thanks,

Jonny Le Builde

Hi.

When you say the "footage is sped up", do you mean the video goes "faster" than the audio, or vice versa?  Depending on your answer to that, as fellow-users we may be able to suggest possible reasons and solutions, but rather than speculate now it would help if you could give us more details, including the exact format (frame rate, audio sampling rate etc.) of your imported footage.  Unfortunately, "mp4" is a container file format whose actual contents CAN vary widely.
