Why can't MMM17 split midi 1 files into seperate tracks.

This question has been getting asked for long enough. Once again the latest version hasn't got this option.

I've got an Ipad with basic song writing software, which I want start songs off with if I have any rough ideas away from my computer (I travel a lot), then save as midi. I want to then transfer this to MMM on my PC - mobility is the way forward with the popularity of tablets, and there isn't a MMM compatible app yet.

If it is not possible to add the midi option to MMM because of technical reasons, surely you can write a utility program to convert MMM format files to MIDI 1, and vice versa.

MMM17 is a great piece of software, and great value, it's a shame it is let down a bit, by this one omission.

This is a user's forum.  How are we possibly going to know the answer?  You need to ask the programmers at MAGIX.

My guess is that if they include every feature possible into their budget software, like MMM, there's no incentive to purchase any of their higher priced music editing software, such as Samplitude.
