Why can't I hear any music when I try to create a beat?

Music maker jam 3.2.3 will not produce any sounds in the make music section. I have an iPhone 6s plus. Latest update.

I had the iPhone 5c and it worked like a charm. Am I doing something wrong or forgetting to do something?

I think this may be an issue with the iPhone 6s - there appears to be a history of losing sound from some apps here is one of many examples on the Internet.

Have you contacted Apple support?
