Why can't I find a FULL list of plugins included with SF Pro 18 Suite?

Why can I not find a COMPLETE list of plugins included with SF Pro 18 Suite? I'm contemplating the Upgrade from 15 and trying to decide whether or not it's worth it. The offer expires in a couple of days. Sure seems like something that should be available somewhere. All I can find is something to the effect of "The four new big ones and MANY MORE."

For example -- this isn't the only one I'm interested in, but here goes: 15 contains Zplane's elastique time stretch, which is old software. Does the Pro 18 Suite have the same thing or something newer from Zplane? Zplane's offerings are rather pricey to purchase separately, so it'd be nice to know.

@Mike-Fornatale All plugins should be listed here: https://www.magix.com/int/music/sound-forge/sound-forge-pro/version-comparison/#c1729891

Generally, there is not much difference between 15 and 18. I don't think that the Elastique plugin is newer in version 18. Maybe check the free trial version to compare it to your version 15.

To my knowledge, in version 16 the VST plugin integration was updated with a newer codebase. But this introduced some bugs, which doesn't seem to be solved in 17 and 18 (for example, jumping back to the default preset every time you want to use a plugin as long as you don't save your last settings as a user preset). On the other hand, very new third party plugins maybe load better in 18.

Sound Forge development is very slow. I still use version 12 regularly and it's still a fine tool.

Probably the biggest new thing you'll get is the newest version of SpectraLayers in case you upgrade to SF Pro Suite 18. Steinberg updated it a lot over the last couple of years.

Thanks, that was helpful. Yeah, I was thinking it might be worth it just for the SpectraLayers upgrade. Unfortunately, the link you provided does not have the full list of plugins. Even under the headings "ADDITIONAL THIRD-PARTY PLUGINS" and "EFFECTS" -- which is where you'd expect to find it. ;)

@Mike-Fornatale Which plugins are missing in the table? I think it's listing all stuff, Melodyne, Ozone, RX, Elastique.

It's not a big deal, but they combine several effects plugins into suites and don't tell you what they are. ;) Screenshot attached.

@Mike-Fornatale Ok, these are all Magix Plugin suites, some of which weren't updated for a very long time. For example, Analogue Modeling Suite, Vintage Effects Suite, Essential FX Suite are well over a decade old, but still good to use. They have their own product pages:

https://www.magix.com/int/music/audio-plugin-union/wizardfx-suite/

https://www.magix.com/int/music/essentialfx/

https://www.magix.com/int/music/analogue-modelling-suite/

https://www.magix.com/int/music/vintage-effects-suite/

https://www.magix.com/int/music/audio-plugin-union/corefx-suite/

The audio restoration effects like DeHisser, DeClicker, DeCrackler and DeClipper are probably 20 years old Samplitude stock effects.

THANK you! I think that pretty much covers it. I just wish Magix didn't make both of us jump through so many hoops for the "privilege" of spending my money. 😉 Thanks so much for the repeated attention.

My two cents: SFP-18 also includes the legacy NR-2.noise reduction pack, which basically has the same tools as RX Elements. On some procedures and material, it works better than RX, Not as good as RX on others.

SFP-17 &18 ha Zplane's elastique time stretch v3.4.1. SFP -14 and earlier versions have EST v3.3.0. I am not sure about SFP-15/16 which crash SF when opened. That may be an isolated instance on my Win 10 PCs since I do recall reports of the issue.

As was mentioned, 64 bit SF-16 and 17 has a display issue with third-party 32 bit VST-2 plug-ins, making most adjustments impossible. This was (mostly) resolved in SF-18. The legacy peak dBFS playback meter was removed in SF16-17 as well, An inferior dBFS meter was then brought back in SFP-18.

FWIW, there is no x86 version of SFP-18 either, which can be useful and would co-exist with the 64 bit versions..

IMO, the SFP Suite upgrade is worth the price of SpectraLayers Pro alone.. SLP was a game changer for me.

Otherwise, I mostly use SFP 14,15 and occasionally go back to SFP 10, which as the last version prior to the modal plug-in introduction and record UI (pros and cons).
