Why aren't the vita samples showing up on the track?

kingofkings5950 wrote on 10/4/2014, 1:12 AM

I just purchased and downloaded magix music maker 2014 premium.  How do I load a vita sample to a track? I tried recording the sample after changing to midi recording but it doesnt show up. Just empty bars with no sound in it. Can someone please help? Im not sure if I'm just missing something or if something is wrong with the program. Thank you for reading.

Hi

Did you download and install the second part of the program?

If not it is under Help, Update program . . ., Download free synthesizers . . .

Hey John thanks for replying. I tried to do what you advised and it said everything was installed already.  Do you think you can tell me what steps you would take to add acoustic piano pro 1 onto a track. I followed instructions from numerous youtube video but was still unable to complete the task. I appreciate your help

Hi

Double clicking the Vita synthesizer should put the instrument ino an available track.

Depending on how you intend to 'play' the Vita look at these tutorials by nihon94

Using the computer keyboard - last item at the bottom

Using an external MIDI keyboard

Or if you intend to enter the notes one by one in the Midi Editor - when you have the sample on the timeline double click it to open the Midi Editor.

More information on using these is in the installed pdf manual under Help.

Hey John I double clicked on vita and yes the arrangement showed up on the available track but not the one I wanted. I was looking for a different sample from vita. When I tried to record the one I wanted which was acoustic piano pro one under vital instruments, I tried to record it but was left with a blank empty arrangement with nothing but silence when I pressed play. I feel like this is a minor issue and something may be wrong with my program. Would you do me the favor and walk me through how you would pick and record something other than what automatically goes into track one after double clicking on vita?

Hi,

I found the solution to insert the appropriate midi file that you hear when you click on play on an instrument in the Vita2 instrument.

Here is the path to the Acoustic piano files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MAGIX Services\MxSynth\Vita\midi files\Vita\Acoustic Piano

Just click on the + and select Vita2 Acoustic Piano Pro 1 for the track, then simply drag the Acoustic Piano Pro 1.MID file onto the arranger from the location indicated above.

The other ones are in other folders one level above.

If you plan on modifying it, I suggest that you make a copy to the project folder and load it from there.

Enjoy!
