Does this problem is recent? do you use download version and are you sure your software is fully installed. Have you installed extra free contents from Magix?
Ok if your answer is yes to above questions then it is strange. I had Magix Music Maker 16 now upgraded to Premium but this kind of problem I wonder why?
Why not try to re-install and see. If you will try to re install without un installing may be it will ask you DO YOU WANT TO REPAIR OR REMOVE you should click on repair and see.
If you are not sure you have installed all contents then please refer my pdf that will guide you though it is for Magix Music Maker 16 Premium but you will learn some thing because it got many photos to show you how?
Music Maker 2016. MP3 export options greyed out. Also red guideline not working when playing music. Windows 7.
I had these issues recently and it has been around for a while but there is little information available. Deleting and re installing the software does not fix the problems. I can't find the link again but two actions should solve the problem.
Firstly create a restore point (Start-> search create a restore point->select .....)
Then go to command prompt. (go to Start; enter cmd in the search panel; right click on the cmd.exe icon and select "run as administrator".
If you are asked by Windows whether you wish to proceed chose "yes".
When you are inside the cmd.exe screen you want to get to the root directory so you enter cd c:\ this should then display C:\>
After this process is complete then go to Windows updates (Start->Control Panel-> windows updates). Unless you have programs with specific "problems" with any of these updates, I would recommend that you install all available updates (important and optional).
Then based on my experience and one other user expereince I read, the export options work and the red guideline starts working as it always did. I hope that is helpful.
